Forum Set Tutorials / Underwater Goddess **ANIMATED**

I've created this in PSP9 and I would assume it can be created in all versions.
You'll also need some knowledge of working with layers and of Animation Shop.

Supplies needed:
A tube of choice. I'm using one by Maxine Gadd, available to purchase from CDO.
Do not use the same tube without the appropriate license.
Font of choice. I'm using Polonaise.

Plugins:
Mura's Meister - Copies
Greg's Factory Output - Splash

1.  Open a new transparent image 600 x 250 pixels. 

2.  Select two medium colours from your tube, setting them as your foreground and background colours.
Set your foreground to a foreground-background gradient, with the following settings:



Flood fill your canvas with this gradient.

3.  Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Apply Mura's Meister - Copies to your tube layer, using the Wave (horizontal) setting.

4.  Still on your tube layer, apply Greg's Factory Output - Splash, with the following settings:



5.  Change the blend mode on this layer to Luminance (Legacy).
Drop the opacity to 60, or something that suits your tag.
Merge visible.

6.  Copy and paste your tube again and move it into position, resizing if necessary.
Add a drop shadow of choice.

7.  Add a new raster layer.  Flood fill with one of your chosen colours.
Selections - Select All.  Selections - Modify - Contract by 2.
Flood fill with your other colour.
Selections - Modify - Contract by 1.
Flood fill with black (or white, depending on your tag)
Selections - Modify - Contract by 2.
Press delete on your keyboard.
Selections - Select None.

8.  Add your name, copyright and licence number (if necessary).

If you do not want to animate your tag, stop here and save as a jpeg....otherwise, carry on
9.  Highlight your background layer.
Edit - Copy.
Go over to Animation Shop and paste as a new animation.

10.  In Animation Shop, go to Effects - Insert Image Effect with the following settings:



Select the Customize button.
Under Effects, select 'Apply Sunlight Dappling'.
Sunlight Intensity to 20
Water Depth to 50

Now, for your waves:
Wave 1       X: -15      Y: 30
Wave 2       X: -15      Y: -51
Wave 3       X: 27       Y: 38
Wave 4       X: -41      Y: -8
Wave 5       X: 2         Y: 63
Wave 6       X: 26       Y: -8
Wave 7       X: -8        Y: -12
Wave 8       X: 0         Y: 0
Wave 9       X: -73      Y: 37

Press the 'OK' button, then press 'OK' again.

11.  Go to the first frame of your animation and delete it (there should be no effect on it).
Edit - Select All.

12.  Go back to Paintshop and hide your background layer.
Edit - Copy Merged.

13.  Go back to Animation Shop and paste as a new animation.
Duplicate this until you have the same number of frames as your underwater animation
(it should have 8 frames if you've used the same settings as me)
Edit - Select All.

I'm not sure how other people do this, but this is my method
14.  Make sure you can see the first frame on both your animation and tag.
With your tag active, hold down the left mouse button somewhere within your first frame.
Still with the mouse button held down, drag it across to your underwater animation.
Once you are happy with the position of your tag, release the mouse button.
The whole tag should now have moved across onto your animation.

15.  View - Animation and check if you are happy with where the tag sits.
If not, you can go to Edit - Undo Drag.  You'll have to also go to Edit - Undo Drag on your tag,
then you can repeat the previous step.
Once you're happy, save as a .gif.
And you're done :)

Tag Tutorials / Harlequin - NO SCRAPS

I've used PSP9 for this tutorial, however you should be able to create this tag in all versions. 
You need to have knowledge of working with layers and masks.

Supplies needed:
A tube of choice.  I've used the art of Marika, available for purchase at CDO.
Please do not use the same tube without the appropriate license.
Font of choice.  I've used Broadway.
Mask of choice.  I've used Mask 476 by Insatiable Dreams

Plug-ins:
Muras Meister - Copies
Eye Candy Impact - Gradient Glow (optional)

1.  Open a new image 600 x 600 pixels

2.  Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

3.  Apply Muras Meister - Copies using the 'Wallpaper - Rotate' settings.
If your canvas isn't fully covered, duplicate this layer.  Image - Mirror.  Merge Visible.

4.  Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur with the following settings:



5.  Crop your canvas back to 600 x 600 pixels.
Apply mask of choice to your blurred layer and merge group.

6. Copy and paste your tube.  Move it into position and resize it if necessary.

7.  Set your foreground to a dark colour from your tube and your background to a lighter colour from your tube.
Select your preset shapes tool and set it to Rectangle with the following settings:



Draw a rectangle towards the bottom of your tag - I've positioned mine so it appears my tube is sitting over it.
When you're happy with the placement and size of the rectangle, convert it to a raster layer.

8.  If you want your tube to appear like it's sitting over it, duplicate your tube and move one below your rectangle.
On your upper tube layer, erase anything you don't want showing over your rectangle.

9.  Add your name to your rectangle, using your dark colour.

10.  Optional: Merge your rectangle, name and two tube layers together. 
Apply Eye Candy Impact - Gradient Glow with the following settings to this new merged layer:



11.  Add a Drop Shadow of choice to your tube (or the glow layer).

12.  Crop your tag to remove any blank canvas and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright and license number (if necessary)
And you're done :)

Supplies needed:
A tube of choice.  I’m using one by Gaetano Di Falco which is available from CDO
Font of choice.  I've used AL Dreamboat

Plugins:
Muras Meister - Copies
Andrew's Filters 43 - Copies*3
Screenworks - Canvas Mesh
AAA Frames - Foto Frame

1.  Open a new transparent image 600 x 250 pixels

2.  Copy and paste your tube as a new layer and apply Muras Meister - Copies using the Wall Paper (Rotate) setting

3.  Crop your canvas back to 600 x 250 pixels.
Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur with the following settings:



4.  Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen More.  Apply this once more.

5.  Apply Andrew's Filters 43 - Copies*3 with the following settings:



If you don't like the result, play around until you get something that suits your tag.

6.  Duplicate this layer.  On the duplicate, apply Screenworks - Canvas Mesh.
Change the Blend Mode to Soft Light, or one to your liking.

7.  Apply AAA Frames - Foto Frame with the following settings:



Ensure you apply this to all layers.

8.  Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, move it into position and add a blurry drop shadow of choice. 

9.  Add a new raster layer and move it above all your other layers.
Flood fill with black.
Selections - Select All.  Selections - Modify - Contract by 2.
Press Delete on your keyboard.
Selections - Select None.

10.  Add your name, copyright and any license numbers necessary.
And you're done :)

I've used PSP9 for this tutorial, however you should be able to create this tag in all versions.

Supplies needed:
A tube of choice.  I’m using one by Danny Drake which is available from CDO
Font of choice.  I've used Waterlily

Plugins:
Psychosis - Circular Streaker

1.  Open a new transparent image 600 x 250 pixels

2.  Set your foreground and background to two colours from your tube - one darker, one lighter.
Set your foreground to Gradient with these settings:



Flood fill your canvas with this gradient.

3.  Apply Psycosis - Circular Streaker with the following settings:



4.  Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

5.  Add a new raster layer above your Circular Streaker layer and flood fill it with the same gradient as earlier.

6.  On this new layer, create a Custom Selections with the following settings:



Selections - Invert.  Press delete on your keyboard.  Deselect.

7.  Duplicate this layer.  Image - Flip.  Merge these two layers together.
Apply a drop shadow with the following settings:



8.  Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, move it into position and add a drop shadow of choice. 

9.  Add a new raster layer and move it above all your other layers.
Flood fill with your darker colour.
Selections - Select All.  Selections - Modify - Contract by 4.
Press Delete on your keyboard.
Selections - Select None.

10.  Add your name, copyright and any license numbers necessary.
And you're done :)

I've used PSP9 for this tutorial, however you should be able to create this tag in all versions. 
I am assuming you have some knowledge of how PSP and Animation Shop work.

Supplies needed:
A tube of choice.  I’m using one by Mashi which is available from CDO
Font of choice.  I've used Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me

Plugins:
Graphics Plus - Peacock
penta.com - VTR
Eye Candy 5 Impact - Gradient Glow
DSB Flux - Bright Noise

1.  Open a new transparent image 600 x 250 pixels

2.  Flood fill with Medium Grey (#808080)

3.  Apply Graphics Plus - Peacock with the following settings:



You can play around with the top three numbers until you get a pattern you like :)

4.  Duplicate this layer twice, to give you a total of three.
On the first layer, using your Magic Wand, click a white area in your pattern.
Selections - Modify - Select Similar with the following settings:



Apply DSB flux with an Intensity of 30 and press Mix once.  Keep selected.
Highlight your next Peacock layer and apply DSB flux again, making sure to press Mix a couple of times.
Highlight your final Peacock layer and apply DSB flux again, pressing Mix a couple more times.
Selections - Select None.
Hide the top two Peacock layers.

5.  Highlight your top layer and create a Custom Selection using the following settings:
 


6.  Add a new Raster layer and flood fill it with Dark Grey (#202020).  Selections - Select None.

7.  On the same layer, apply penta.com - VTR with the following settings:



8.  Duplicate this layer.  Image - Flip.  Merge these two layers together.
Apply Eye Candy 5 Impact - Gradient Glow with the following settings:



9.  Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, move it into position and add a drop shadow of choice. 

10.  Add a new raster layer and move it above all your other layers.
Flood fill with white.
Selections - Select All.  Selections - Modify - Contract by 1.
Press Delete on your keyboard.
Selections - Select None.

11.  Add your name, copyright and any license numbers necessary.

Now onto the Animation
12.  Make sure you only have one Peacock layer open.  Edit - Copy Merged.
Paste this as a new animation in Animation Shop.

10.  Return to Paint Shop.  Hide that Peacock layer and open the next one layer.  Edit - Copy Merged.
Paste this after your first frame in Animation Shop.

16.  Return to Paint Shop.  Hide that Peacock layer and open your final Peacock layer.  Edit - Copy Merged.
Paste this after your second frame in Animation Shop.

17.  In Animation Shop, Edit - Select All.  Then go to Animation - Frame Properties and change the number to 15.
View your animation and, if you're happy, save as a .gif.
And you're done :)
