Wasn't Me - NO SCRAPS
« on: June 21, 2012, 05:45:24 am »

I've used PSP9 for this tutorial, however you should be able to create this tag in all versions.
You need to have knowledge of working with layers and masks.

Supplies needed:
A tube of choice.  I've used the art of Melia Newman, available for purchase at CDO.
Please do not use the same tube without the appropriate license.
Font of choice.  I've used Inspiration.
Mask of choice.  I've used Mask 7 by Brutal Designs
Template by me.  You can download it here

1.  Open your template and tube in PSP.

2.  On the template, press Shift-D to duplicate it and close out the original.  Delete the copyright layer.

3.  Image - Canvas Size and increase the canvas to 600 x 600 pixels to give you some playing room.

4.  Highlight the Large Circle layer.  Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat.
Add a new raster layer and flood fill it with a colour from your tube.  Keep selected.
Apply Effects - Illumination Effects - Sunburst with the following settings:

Selections - Select None.  Delete the original Large Circle layer.

5.  Highlight the Octagon layer.  Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat.
Add a new raster layer and flood fill it with a colour from your tube.  Keep selected.
Apply Effects - Artistic Effects - Balls and Bubbles.  On the 'Shape' tab, set it as follows:

On the 'Surface' tab, set it as follows, using the same colour that you flood filled the Octagon for your 'Material' colour:

Selections - Select None.  Delete the original Octagon layer.

6. Highlight the Small Circle layer.  Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat.
Add a new raster layer and flood fill it with a colour from your tube.  Keep selected.
Apply Effects - Texture Effects - Fine Leather, with the following settings:

Selections - Select None.  Delete the original Small Circle layer.

7.  Highlight the Rectangle layer.  Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat.
Add a new raster layer and flood fill it with a colour from your tube.  Selections - Select None.
Apply Effects - Texture Effects - Weave, with the following settings:

Delete the original Rectangle layer.

8.  Highlight the Doodle layer.  Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat.
Add a new raster layer and flood fill it with a colour from your tube.  Selections - Select None.
Apply Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise, with the following settings:

Delete the original Doodle layer.

9.  Highlight the Star Buttons layer.  Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat.
Add a new raster layer and flood fill it with a colour from your tube.  Selections - Select None.
Apply Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel, with the following settings:

Delete the original Star Buttons layer.
You could also apply this step to your Crown layer, but I've left mine black.

10.  Copy and paste your tube, resize it if necessary and move it into position.  Apply a Drop Shadow of choice.
Apply drop shadows to any other layers - I only added it to the Star Buttons and Doodle layers, as well as on my name.

10.  Add a new Raster Layer.  Flood fill with another colour from your tube.
Layers - Arrange - Send to Bottom.
Still with this layer selected, apply your mask of choice.
Merge the mask group.  I resized my mask layer slightly.

11.  Crop your tag to remove any blank canvas.  Resize your tag if desired.

12.  Add your name, copyright and licence number (if necessary)
And you're done :)
