Kiss It!
« on: August 11, 2012, 02:42:02 pm »

I've used PSP9 for this tutorial, however you should be able to create this tag in all versions.
You need to have knowledge of working with layers and masks.

Supplies needed:
A tube of choice.  I've used the art of gIO, available for purchase at The PSP Project.
Please do not use the same tube without the appropriate license.
Scrap kit of choice.  I'm using Roses Are Red by Sam's Scraps, also available for purchase from The PSP Project
Font of choice.  I've used LaPointe's Road.
Mask of choice.  I've used WSL_Mask38 by Wee Scots Lass
Template by me.  You can download it here

Plugins:
Eye Candy Impact - Gradient Glow (optional)

1.  Open your template and tube in PSP.

2.  On the template, press Shift-D to duplicate it and close out the original.  Delete the credits layer.

3.  Image - Canvas Size and increase the canvas to 700 x 700 pixels to give you some playing room.

4.  Highlight the Heart layer.  Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat.  Copy paper of choice and paste as a new layer.
Selections - Invert and press delete.  Deselect.  Delete the original Heart layer.

5.  Repeat Step 4 for the Jagged Circle, Oval, Rectangle and Button layers.
Add a drop shadow of choice to some of the layers to make them pop.
I added it to all these layers plus my Kiss It! and White Frame layer.

6.  Place your tube and move it into position.
To make my tube's hand hang over the Rectangle, I selected the hand, then went to Selections - Promote Selection to Layer.
Selections - Select None.  Then I moved the promoted selection layer above the Rectangle and Kiss It! layers.

7.  Add any elements you like - I used Swirl 1, Glitter Kiss 1 and Glitter Swirl 3.
On the Swirl element, I erased areas to make it look like it was weaving around my tube.

8.  Paste another paper as a new layer and move it below your bottom layer.

9.  Apply your mask to this layer and merge group.

10.  Crop away any unused canvas and resize if necessary.

11.  Add your name, copyright and licence number (if necessary)
I also added a Gradient Glow and drop shadow to my name.
And you're done :)

I'd love to see the results from any of my tutorials - just email me at sezysairs@gmail.com
