I've used PSP9 for this tutorial, however you should be able to create this tag in all versions.
Supplies needed:
A tube or close up of your choice.
I'm using one by
Amy Brown
which is available from
CDO
.
Please do not use the same tube without the appropriate license.
Font of choice.
I've used Lancastershire.
Plugins:
Alien Skin Eye Candy 5:Impact - Gradient Glow (optional)
1. Open a new transparent image 600 x 250 pixels.
2. Select two colours from your tube and create a foreground-background gradient with the following settings:
3. Apply Effects - Texture Effects - Mosaic Antique with the following settings:
4. Duplicate this layer. On the duplicate, apply Effects - Illumination Effects - Sunburst with the following settings:
5. On your Sunburst layer, apply Effects - Geometric Effects - Pentagon with the following settings:
6. Still on your Pentagon layer, apply Effects - Image Effects - Offset with the following settings:
7. Duplicate your Pentagon layer, Image - Mirror. Merge your two Pentagon layers together and apply a drop shadow
(I used 0, 0, 100, 15, black)
8. Add your tube or close up. Move it into position and apply a drop shadow of choice.
9. Add a new raster layer. Flood fill it with a dark colour of your choice.
Selections - Select All. Selections - Modify - Contract by 3. Press Delete on your keyboard.
Selections - Select None.
10. Add your name and copyright and license number (if necessary).
I added a Gradient Glow and drop shadow to my name as well
And you’re done
