I've used PSP9 for this tutorial, however you should be able to create this tag in all versions.
Supplies needed:
A tube of choice.
I'm using one by
Michael Landefeld
which is available from
CDO
.
Please do not use the same tube without the appropriate license.
Font(s) of choice.
I've used Pussycat as my phrase font, and Windsong as my name font.
Plugins:
Muras Meister - Copies
1. Open a new transparent image 600 x 400 pixels
2. Paste your tube as a new layer.
Apply Muras Meister - Copies using the Wallpaper (Rotate) default settings.
3. Apply Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur, setting the radius to 15
4. Apply Effects - Texture Effects - Mosaic - Antique with the following settings:
5. Apply Effects - Geometric Effects - Skew with the following settings:
6. Select your selection tool and create a Custom Selection with the following settings:
Image - Crop to Selection
7. Add your tube as a new layer, move it over to the right-hand side and apply a Drop Shadow of choice.
8. Add a new raster layer above your tube and flood fill it with a dark colour (or black) from your tube.
Selections - Select All. Selections - Modify - Contract by 2
Flood fill the selection with another colour from your tube.
Do not deselect
Selections - Modify - Contract by 1
Flood fill with your dark colour.
Keep selected
Selections - Modify - Contract by 1.
Press delete on your keyboard. Selections - Select None.
9. Add a phrase, if you like - I've used white for my colour, added a slight drop shadow and then dropped the opacity down to 50%
10. Add your name, copyright and license number (if necessary).
I added a slight drop shadow using a light colour to make my name stand out a bit more.
And you’re done
