Kiss from a Rose
« on: July 08, 2012, 06:31:43 pm »

I've created this in PSP9 and I would assume it can be created in all versions.
You'll also need some knowledge of Animation Shop.

Supplies needed:
A tube of choice. I'm using one by Tiffany Toland-Scott, available to purchase from CDO.
Do not use the same tube without the appropriate license.
Font of choice. I'm using Havlova-Austral.
My Wordart, or lyrics of your choice.  You can download mine from here

Plugins:
Penta.com - Dot and Cross
AAA Frames - Foto Frame

1.  Open a new transparent image 600 x 250 pixels.  Flood fill your canvas with a colour of your choice from your tube.

2.  Apply Penta.com - Dot and Cross with the following settings:

3.  Select another colour from your tube, setting it as your background colour.

4.  Select your Preset Shapes tool.  Set your foreground to null and draw out a Lips shape.
I've used one I downloaded from Miggin's blog.
You can find the same ones here - I used luv n kisses-x

5.  Open my Wordart and paste it as a new layer on your tag, above your Lips shape.
Image - Rotate - Free Rotate with the following settings:

Move it across to the right side of your tag - don't worry if it overhangs the canvas.
Add a Drop Shadow of choice and lower the opacity to around 60%, or whatever suits your tag.

6.  Add your tube as a new layer and move it to the left side of your tag.
Add a drop shadow of choice.
Crop your canvas to 600 x 250 pixels.

7.  Highlight your background layer and duplicate it four times, giving you a total of 5 background layers.
Rename them 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

8.  Highlight layer '1' and apply Effects - Illumination Effects - Sunburst with the following settings:

9.  Highlight layer '2' and apply Effects - Illumination Effects - Sunburst with the following settings:

10.  Highlight layer '3' and apply Effects - Illumination Effects - Sunburst with the following settings:

11.  Highlight layer '4' and apply Effects - Illumination Effects - Sunburst with the following settings:

12.  Highlight layer '5' and apply Effects - Illumination Effects - Sunburst with the following settings:

Hide layers 2, 3, 4 and 5, leaving layer 1 open.

13.  Highlight your tube layer and apply AAA Frames - Foto Frame with the following settings:

Apply this effect to all layers

14.  Add your name and give it a drop shadow of choice.

15.  Add your copyright and license number (if required).

Now onto the animation
16.  Make sure you still only have one background layer open, layer '1'.  Edit - Copy Merged.
Paste this as a new animation in Animation Shop.

17.  Return to Paint Shop.  Hide that background layer and open layer '2'.  Edit - Copy Merged.
Paste this after your first frame in Animation Shop.

18.  Return to Paint Shop.  Hide that background layer and open layer '3'.  Edit - Copy Merged.
Paste this after your first frame in Animation Shop.

19.  Return to Paint Shop.  Hide that background layer and open layer '4'.  Edit - Copy Merged.
Paste this after your first frame in Animation Shop.

20.  Return to Paint Shop.  Hide that background layer and open layer '5'.  Edit - Copy Merged.
Paste this after your first frame in Animation Shop.

21.  Return to Paint Shop.  Hide that background layer and open layer '4'.  Edit - Copy Merged.
Paste this after your first frame in Animation Shop.

22.  Return to Paint Shop.  Hide that background layer and open layer '3'.  Edit - Copy Merged.
Paste this after your first frame in Animation Shop.

23.  Return to Paint Shop.  Hide that background layer and open layer '2'.  Edit - Copy Merged.
Paste this after your first frame in Animation Shop.

24.  In Animation Shop, Edit - Select All.  Then go to Animation - Frame Properties and change the number to 30.
View your animation and, if you're happy, save as a .gif.
And you're done :)

My apologies to everyone who was trying to follow this tutorial, but wasn't able to get the wordart open.  Seems it saved funny - I wasn't even able to open it!!
However, I've since recreated it and I've updated the file, so you should be able to open it now - Thanks for trying my tutorial!
