I've used PSP9 for this tutorial, however you should be able to create this tag in all versions.
Supplies needed:
A tube of choice.
I'm using one by
Spazz
which is available from
TPP
.
Please do not use the same tube without the appropriate license.
Font of choice.
I've used Ephesis.
Plugins:
VM Instant Art - Instant Background I
Rorshack Filters - Ripleyer
AAA Frames – Foto Frame
Eye Candy 5: Impact - Gradient Glow (optional)
1. Open a new transparent image 600 x 250 pixels
2. Apply VM Instant Art - Instant Background I with the following settings:
Colourise your tag by going to Adjust - Hue and Saturation - Colourise
and play with the Hue and Saturation until you get a colour you like.
3. Apply Rorshack Filters - Ripleyer with the following settings:
4. Crop your tag to 600 x 250 pixels and apply AAA Filters - Foto Frame with the following settings:
5. Paste your tube as a new layer, move into position and apply an appropriate drop shadow.
6. Add a new raster layer and flood fill it white.
Selections - Select All. Selections - Modify - Contract by 4. Press delete.
Selections - Select None.
7. Remain on your white border layer.
Selections - Select All. Selections - Modify - Contract by 1. Selections - Invert.
Flood fill with Black.
Selections - Select None.
8. Add your name in font of choice. I also added a Gradient Glow and drop shadow.
My settings for the Gradient Glow are below:
9. Add your copyright and license number (if necessary).
And you’re done
Here's another example created by the wonderful Spawn, using the art of
Barachan
,
who's tubes are available through
